Both reveling in and playfully mocking high school angst and melancholy, “Nothing to You” is a rough-around-the-edges character-driven indie folk ballad that explores unrequited longing (one of Cryderman’s themes in his early work), not from afar but from very close: a fitting addition to your “I’m so bummed out today” mixtapes. This version features Canadian rising star singer Raquel Loglisci.
