Biography

Kev Samples, a 25 year old R&B crooner raised on the outskirts of Atlanta, is quickly earning the One to watch label. Blessed with a vocal range that crosses between Usher and John Legend and a style distinctively his own, Samples is set to put the music industry on notice with his debut CD, "The Rush", which will be released on his label Outlandish Entertainment and distributed by Universal Music. Screaming for More is slated for a fall 2006 release date and includes 12 tracks in which Kev wrote. Kev states, "R&B needs MORE. More Fun, More Excitement, More Energy. I want to put a fire under the entire R&B game and CHALLENGE them to start doing more. Lets OWN labels and clothing lines. Lets get shoe deals, just like rappers".

Kev is currently putting todays top male R&B vocalists on notice with his Death of R&B mixtape, which has the full backing of G-Units DJ Whoo Kid, 50 cents personal DJ. The mixtape serves as a prelude to Kevs vocal ability & talent as he rehashed tracks from the likes of Jaime Fox, Trey Songz and Omarion. Several popular artists such as Ne-Yo, T-Pain and Ray J fall victim to verbal jabs from the R&B up and comer.

Kev Samples did not always dream of becoming the next R&B sensation. While growing up outside of Atlanta under a single parent environment, Kevs first priorities were to get an education to help provide a better life for his mother and younger siblings. Kev earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Georgia. But it was his experience in college as the campus R&B sensation that Kev began to take his music to another level. Kev's reputation grew so much that he began opening for heavyweights such as 112, Outkast and Ludacris. Armed with a college degree and a taste for entertainment, Samples began handling business affairs for his cousin and NBA number one pick, Dwight Howard. Samples state, "Working with Dwight opened my eyes to the entertainment industry and made me want to pursue music as a full time career".

CEO/artist of Outlandish Entertainment and being endorsed by one of the biggest names in the music industry, Samples is poised to make his presence felt in the music business.
