• Sega Rally 2006 Original Sound Track

    When I heard about Wavemaster releasing the soundtrack to the long-awaited and long-delayed new Sega Rally, I immediately found intrigue over the upcoming soundtrack release. Not simply because it’s a Sega production but because I heard some notable famed composers like Jun Senoue, Naofumi Hataya, Hiro (Hiroshi Miyauchi), Richard Jacques, Takenobu Mitsuyoshi were just a handful of names to be featured on this latest Sega soundtrack.

    I’ve been doing a lot of historical listening in the past few years from all the way back to the original Sega Rally, to Clockwork Knight, and to recent ones in the realm of Sonic Heroes which was Senoue-heavy and much less traditional Sonic Team smorgasbord of artists. With some recent Sega releases not hitting so hard like that orchestra-happy Key of Avalon soundtrack (featuring Mitsuyoshi on some arrangements), or the really dull and flat sounding Sega Piano Nocturne to the admittedly decent SEGAROCKS volumes…
