“Milkshake” is an R&B–electro song written and produced by The Neptunes for American singer Kelis’ third studio album, Tasty (2003). The song was released as the album’s lead single. It reached the top ten in the United Kingdom, Australia and the Netherlands. In the United States, “Milkshake” became Kelis’ biggest success to date on Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number three. The song is Kelis’ biggest hit worldwide, peaking at number four on the United World Chart with more than two million points.

In the United Kingdom, “Milkshake” has become the biggest hit of Kelis’ career, staying at number two on the UK Singles Chart for four weeks and selling 225,000 copies.

The song earned Kelis a Grammy Award nomination in 2004, in the category Best Urban/Alternative Performance.
