Keith Whitley was one of the group of country music musicians that brought “new” country music into the spotlight in the early 80`s.Keith, along with such others as Hank Williams Jr., Garth Brooks, George Strait, Reba MacEntire, and Allison Kraus, just to name a few gapped the bridge that existed between conventional country and the new breed of performers. These artists contribution can never be overlooked as they are part of the evolution of country music that exists today. Sadly, we lost Keith at an early age to his struggle with alcoholism, but his music will be with us as long as we love music.

I love all three versions of this: Keith's, Alison's, and the hybrid of Keith's and Alison's versions. Let's see Blake Shelton write one as endearing a classic country as this gem!!!

Brawny Man, just downloading a song doesn't mean every track you love. OK? This is last.fm. It's not just about what we are, it's about our taste.
