Kazik Staszewski was born in 1963. He was or is a member, or a leader of the following bands:
Poland (he had founded it in 1979), Novelty Poland (it was founded by him in 1981), Kult (it was founded by him it in 1982), Kazik na Żywo, El Doopa, KAENŻET, Buldog. He also took part in Yugoton project.
In 1991, he has started a solo career, and recorded many albums. Two of them, “Melodie Kurta Weila i coś ponadto” and “Piosenki Toma Waitsa” are his interpretations of songs by Kurt Weil and Tom Waits.

Kazik’s whole discography (only solo albums):
1991 Spalam się - it is probably the first album in Poland, although Kazik has been recording music since then.
