Vlad the Impaler was released as a free download on Kasabian’s website for a period of 4 days beginning March 31st 2009.

It is the first release from the bands forthcoming album West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum. However, the album’s first official physical single was the track “Fire”, released June 1st 2009.
