They need to do another track like this someday, the time signatures are amazing and this is intense to a vildhjarta fan.

Themata is better than Sound Awake but theyre both great albums :)

Yeah, you both have a good point, I pretty much agree with you about everything there. Except the part about SA being better than Themata. By no means is SA a bad record, but I think, probably contrarily to what the band wanted, that SA, alongside Themata, actually makes Themata look better.

I agree wit u a bit shamharoth...Sound Awake is awesome (better than Themata imo) but a track or two like this wouldnae go amiss. Maybe on the next record

"It's a shame there were no songs like this on Sound Awake. " isn't it a bit to far? I mean, I totally know what you are getting at, but I personally think that the complexity of Sound Awake rather excluded such songs. Which doesn't change the fact that Scarabs is awesome.

Wow, someone tagged this as emo? Oh my fucking god. This is an awesome song, about as far away from emo as you can get. It's a shame there were no songs like this on Sound Awake.

I am indeed aware that Karnivool cite Meshuggah as a major influence. And I wasn't saying it in a bad way; I think Meshuggah are great.

@ colourofsleep: Of course it reminds you of Meshuggah, Karnivool were infulenced by them, they have to have at least one song that has a familiar sound. And I concur, this is awesomeness.
