Biography
Kalimero (カリメロ) was an independent Japanese visual kei band that formed in May of 2001 and was based out of Tokyo. Although they disbanded in October of 2004, their music still remains popular among fans of obscure “indies” jrock artists.
The band’s line-up consisted of: Yuuki (Vo), Nao (G), Kousuke (B) and Tsuyoshi (Dr). Nao was responsible for writing both the music and the lyrics for most of Kalimero’s songs. The whole band was credited for the composition of “Kakumei”, while “Trip” was credited to Kousuke and “Nagare” to Tsuyoshi and Nao.
In their career, Kalimero released only one full-length album (箱庭/Hakoniwa), along with two mini-albums, three singles and numerous contributions to several compilation CDs. They also released a four-track coupling disc (異色同盟/Ishoku Doumei) with fellow indies jrockers, Vidoll, in 2003.
