Picture (3:36)

Cover of Five-Two Television

From Five-Two Television

notes: This song was based on a true story… however like usual I change it so as to not exploit someone’s particular story. What I was trying to show was how we hang onto our pictures for comfort because they tell our story… (good and bad). When the original girl showed me her pictures the smiley faces betrayed what was really going on behind the scenes. This to me was very notable on how we don’t always lets whats going on show up past the surface. A long time ago I had seen a way to share your faith by simply using colored blank pages… each page was a picture that either represented to us what God had done… I had decided to end the fictional story with the idea that we can hang onto our “pictures” (our old damaged lives) or could exchange them for new ones (ie what Christ has to offer us).

her sleeves went past her elbows in when she pulled them low
they covered the cuts that ran back and forth like railroads
