Biography

Jun Fukumitsu (a.k.a. “JF”) is a Japanese songwriter, creating heartwarming folk/pop songs with my Takamine acoustic guitar. Some of the Japanese singers picked up his tunes and included them in their CDs.

In 1993-1996, JF played the guitars, bass, blues harp, banjo, etc. in the acoustic folk band called “Ongaku Kobo”, which was lead by Tadahisa Masumoto. He wrote the classic folk tune “Cornflakes” there.

After they broke up the band, JF founded the indie label “JF-RECORDS” with their mission to let the world know their honobono (=heartwarming) music.

In 1998, JF wrote the song called “Kaze-no Tsubasa (Wind Beneath Wings)” for the Japanese language textbook with the same title published by ARC Academy. It was sung by Nao’K in the CD, and sung in the classrooms all over the world (especially, in Uzbekistan).

2000 sees JF’s solo release album “STARS”, followed by the single “Aisuru Koto (To Love)” released in 2002.

JF now translates patent application documents for a living while creating new honobono songs for other musicians.
