Julio Revueltas was born in Mexico City,
where he studied music and chose the electric guitar as his main instrument.
In time, he became a revelation to the musical landscape of electronic jazz-rock-fusion music. Today, in this mentioned landscape, Julio Revueltas is praised as one of the very best exponents of this musical expression that Mexico is giving to the world.
Julio has performed in many festivals, concerts and presentations all over Mexico, United states, Canada and Russia. He has designed a guitar that he calls The Viotarra and this instrument is on the wall of Hard Rock Cafe in Mexico City.
Julio Revueltas has revolutionized the performance potential of the electric guitar by adding the use of a violin bow, “The VIOTARRA” (constructed by the great guitar maker Jonathan Wilson of Los Angeles CA) produced an unusual and unique sound.
