He's a movie star, only drives rented cars
Met him in a bar, said, "I know who you are"
Took him to my party as the games were starting
Bottle's on the ground, are you ready now?

    She's 44 now. Might be a grandmother.

I heard this track off the Reality Bites soundtrack, and it easily stands out as my favorite song from that soundtrack (if you exclude Lisa Loeb's stay, which is worth the price of the CD by itself).

LOL! herrh1977... Agreed... Lessee... young because this song brings back memories of playing games like 7 in Heaven and Spin the Bottle as a child so long ago, and old because, well, this song brings back memories of playing games like 7 in Heaven and Spin the Bottle as a child SO long ago <I certainly empathize>

As a behavioral scientist (no joke, that's what I do for a living now), I would guess Morphoeugenia is reminded of Johnny Depp based on Depp's not inconsiderable connection to Winona Ryder and Ryder was one of the major characters in Reality Bites, which was the original (and first) recording Juliana Hatfield made. Since we tend to connect things in our minds, we often fall into the trap of false memory due to supposition. At any rate, it's a fun little song, and I truly enjoy Hatfield's voice.
