Western Front 1992 CE (2:01)

About this track

“The words to this song are, “It’ll all wash down, it’ll wash down when it rains”. That’s pretty much the attitude of all the major corporations. Dump it, leave it to rot, the earth will take care of it. The song is sung by sad voiced women standing under Waterloo Bridge in the winter of 1992. My wife and I got caught up in an anti-Gulf War demonstration in Paris in October last year. The crowd were chanting “Retrait ! Retrait ! Les Troupes Imperialistes !” which was both lyrical and pertinent so I recorded it on my dictaphone and stuck it at the beginning of the song.”
