I made a spike about nine o'clock on a Saturday
All eyes hit me as I walked into the bar
Inside then the guys were fooling in the denim dudes
A couple cards played rough stuff, New York, fire island

  • Sin After Sin, I feel, is one of their most underrated albums. This is where JP's career really started to make progress, in many many ways--it was only skyward from here! 1977 marked their first tour of America, where they opened for bands such as REO Speedwagon and even Led Zeppelin on a couple dates in Oakland, CA also. Priest were one of the heaviest, if not THE heaviest, band in the world at the time. Period...
  • So good, the outro is awesome.

  • Not only the denim dudes part, but there's also "Fire Island, New York" mentioned. If you google Fire Island it comes pretty fast clear that the place is notorious for it's gay community.
  • "Thinly-veiled homoerotic themes" - leather guys fooling with demin dudes at the Spike is hardly thinly-veiled!
  • Sin After Sin and Rocka Rolla are my favorite albums from JP. Old School Priest forever!
  • I snapped the smile off his face and scowled - Give me a bourbon -
  • This song is fucking sick. Hell, the whole album is just amazing. I love how melancholic their songs sounded back in the seventies. And Halford's voice complements such aura incredibly well. All hail the great Priest.
  • AWESOME SONG AND ALBUM ! cant wait to see the Priest again in 2011
