Biography

Jordaan Mason & the Horse Museum, after three and a half years of writing, traveling, singing, putting together a band, and recording, recording, recording, have finally finished “Divorce Lawyers I Shaved My Head,” an album that tells the story of a failed marriage between two people of confused genders and identities. The album takes place during a Glandolinian war and includes horses, shotguns, carnival horn sections, religion, male birth, sickness, semen, haircuts, and an eventual apocalypse in 1990.

The album was recorded between May 2007 - March 2009, mostly at the Oxford Hotel in Toronto, by Bryar Gray and Jordaan Mason. The Horse Museum on this record include members of Sarah D., Whatever Jailer, I Am Not Dynamite, Klessa, the Owle Bird, Richard Laviolette, Chris Yang, and the Hidden Cameras.

It sounds KINDA like NMH, with the lyrics. They're kinda obviously message-y. The folk-y instrumentals as well. Although this album's instrumentation is a lot more painfully depressing and angry. i cry evertim

well. if you ask me, the technical ability of the guitarist in this 40-something piece band resembles that of all three Dillinger escape plan sweeps and solos, the vocals is an incredibly great ode to the late (& Gr8) Freddie Mercury and the bass is played by mother natures own earthquake. so many combinations, such an underrated act.
