his instrumental stuff is a lot better than his raps. hes a decent rapper but it seems like the stuff he raps over is a lot more simple, traditional than a lot of his instrumentals.
also i care about everybody's appearance, style/appearance are things i care about, but i don't let it effect how i feel about other aspects of the person. he makes great music. i don't listen with my ears but i do look with my eyes and he looks terrible.
Go listen to [artist]Katy Perry[/artist] or [artist]Justin Bieber[/artist] if you care about what a guy who makes good music looks like. While on that note, he looks like he could probably kick your ass.
not liking the more traditional sounding hip-hop beats. the pusha t sounding beats arnt my style. Favorite tracks: after the calm, zeroh's song, How to Be a Gemini, and Sandals. everything else was not for me. i like the more experimental shit from him.
yeah zeroh's song is annoyig. I dug parts of reflection and how ambitious it is but just too all over the place, doesn't flow well. overall i felt like there was too much experimenting with random electronic sounds which isn't what i was looking for, only a couple songs that were the level of quality i was hoping for in all of them. still good, but I Don't Care remains my favorite jonwayne release so far
His beats are sick and hes not bad at rapping but I agree his image is terrible. I mean its hard to look cool when you are a chubby white dude in the hip-hop community. But some of the shit he wears just exentuates that goofy image. He looks like a joke nerdcore artist rather than a serious producer.
no. his anger and emotion were not coming across well with the clothes he was wearing. in normal situations this is not relevant but if you are giving a performance where people are responding to visuals as well as sounds and you are calling yourself a performance artist then it is very relevant. also i'm probably being more harsh because he was an asshole. ( I don't hate assholes, i'm an asshole, i just judge them harsher)
