I too consider this to be inmaculate, her best and one of the best pieces of music ever released

Actually, I'm starting to like this song a lot more now, it musically grabs you and makes you forget the not-as-great-as-usual lyric.

Don't agree with Raggleman's opinion, I think this is one of her worst songs, doesn't even compare to her great earlier work, although I think Amelia from Hejira is utterly amazing. I personally love the Hissing of Summer Lawns album, especially the one about a priest with a pornographic watch looking and longing on the sly... just opinions, too.

Great song, even if Furry himself didn't particularly care for it. Joni "reigns supreme", and I still dig Furry's music too anyway.

Opinions are Good Raggleman. I feel the melody rambles a little but the orchestration, particularly the bass, and Joni's voice are sublime. And the album is a very coherent piece of music, with Blue Motel Room, being a peerless piece of emotive passionate music.

It's only opinions I know but Hejira is a cut above Joni's other albums including Blue. In fact I reckon it's one of the best albums ever released. Amelia in particular moves me in a profound way......itchy feet and all that. Jaco Pastorious (RIP) was outstanding and Joni herself seemed to be mining a golden musical vein. Just opinions......

a shade of grey from joni m....by which i mean hejira was a way more introspective album than her previous outings court and spark and hissing of summer lawns
