greatest female vocalists [of mine]
23 Oct 2011, 19:27 by pandorease
here is my muses, women with great talent & sensibility for music. they're also produce some of the greatest repertoire in modern music. well, at least based on my personal taste
-Elizabeth Fraser (i suspect her as a kind of nymph, disguising as a female human and having a humane musical career with cocteau twins :/ )
-Joni Mitchell
-Nina Simone (the final scene of before sunset when celine talkin bout nina to jesse is one of the most memorable movie moment for me)
-Siouxsie Sioux
-Astrud Gilberto (i'd say that her voice quality is just average. but the way she's singin, swingin it along with the bossa nova tune... very chilling)
-Sibylle Baier (the lost tunes of 70s. her only album just released to public on 2000s, since recorded on 70s)
-Debbie Harry (debbie really defined sexiness. her beauty is intimidating, and yet, mesmerizing)
-Billie Holiday
-Nico
-Kate Bush (esp on her early works)
i really want to include edith piaf here, since her biopic movie "La Mome" is a real touche for me. … -
