Jonas Kopp - Spectral Sound / Mindtrip Music
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1981, Jonas Kopp launched his career as a producer was when he was nineteen years old. After seven years of hard work he has established himself as one of the most representative Argentine talents in the minimal and techno global scene. Known for the constant hypnotic flavor in his tracks, coupled with deep bass lines and use of effects like reverb and LFO’s, Jonas’ music reflects a blend of the modern European sound and his faithful attachment to his Detroit and Chicago creative influences. His live performances extend a full two hours, containing plenty of hypnotic groove and creating different states of tension and release throughout the set.
Artists such as Matthew Dear, Chris Liebing, Par Grindvik, Paul Woolford and Andre Crom have listed Jonas Kopp’s productions in their DJ charts. Jonas’ track on the Death is Nothing to Fear 2 compilation on Spectral Sound rose to the #11 most downloaded song on Beatport.com in its first week of release. Jonas recently founded Traut Muzik, a netlabel in which he curates the best techno artists from the Argentine and global techno scene.
