In May of 1941 the war had just begun
The Germans had the biggest ship that had the biggest guns
The Bismarck was the fastest ship that ever sailed the sea
On her decks were guns as big as steers and shells as big as trees

I love this song! This guy has one of the greatest voices ever, AND he did some pretty darned good rockabilly tunes, in addition to the more familiar stuff.

This is glorious. The nostalgia mixed with catch-i-ness mixed with the general awesomeness.

My mom and dad I lived about 2 blocks from the Louisiana Hayride and they used to take me with them to listen to him and the other artists appearing there. Those were great, simple days. I miss them. Barksdale AFB wasn't far away either.
