Johnny Truant was an underground, Brighton based British metalcore band with progressive influences, formed in 2000 originally under the name Severance. The name Johnny Truant is taken from the book House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. The band split up in October 2008.

Converge and Johnny Truant are not the exact same but do share qualities. I personally think Johnny Truant share more with Coalesce, well at least on No Tears. I don't what is, but I can't really get into their music like I can with Converge and Coalesce.
