It's been ages since I read the books, but this soundtrack really makes me think of them and want to read them again - especially the first ones, as they were just the most magical for me. When I listen to it the whole world disappears, it's really great. Sometimes some motifs get similar to others Williams' works, as Indiana Jones ost or the Star Wars one - but it's just his style I guess. And as much as I like Indiana Jones (a lot!) I think that this soundtrack really is something extraordinary, one of my favourites for sure.

Really great soundtrack, it fits the Harry Potter world so well. It's really full of magic, with all the subtle songs, starting with the "Prologue" that makes me think of starry night, progressing to " Harry's Wondrous World" that really is full of wonder and amazement, so uplifting and then it goes equally magical, all the way through. There are dramatic pieces as well as the peaceful or uplifting ones, I think they really fit each scene greatly. I really feel like a child while listening to it 'cause it's just so full of amazement and hope and it instantly makes me think of the film and books and all the Hogwarts atmosphere... You surely can feel it, feel like you are at Hogwarts for the whole year 'cause of the songs like "Christmas at Hogwarts". And it's really wonderful how it all gets so dramatics when the cd progresses to the final conflict with the Voldemort (now imagine seeing him on the back of the head of your teacher~! xD) - and then peaceful again.
