Finally got to see him live last week. Hung out a little after the show. Reu is a class act---he's a rare artist, not just a rapper. Fresh beats, and he spits truth. It's too bad KJ-52 is listed as a related artists.... It's like comparing a BMW to a Hyundai in terms of talent.
Im with john c riley, reuben is a joke. His new "town folk" video?? the only reason he has a career is because he's in the christian music industry. lecrae, tedashii, mars ill, k-drama, thats christian rap.
i havnt listened to reubens new stuff...but hes definetley not like eminem...hes just diferent then evryone else with his flow and his silly rap/rockish style...im not sayin its great...i think hes just another artist to add to itunes for the sake of havin a ridiculously large library...but ill gve him props for doin his thing for God!
i had a john reuben week, it seems, and it was good. i want to see him in concert soon again cuz his concerts are probably some of the best, ever. if you guys haven't had the chance to see this artist up close and personal, then you should next time he's in YOUR town. :D
some people need to get over the hip hop part of it cause he is not hip hop, and his rap is hardly rap. its unique, almost in a genre of its own. he knows what he's doing musically.
Yeah, even as a hardcore John Reuben fan I must admit, Nuisance sucks! I mean, sometimes it's good to listen to it, but overall, without Matt Thiessen this song wouldn't have made it as high in the charts as it did.
When did I ever say anything bad about it being Christian? Sure, I tend to stray from Christian music because I'm not Christian. That's not why Nuisance is a bad song though. It has a terrible beat and the man simply cannot rap (at least in that song).
ert: Clearly, you are quite closed minded. I hate it when people simply talk crap on Christian music because it is Christian. I listen to everything, and to be honest I am more a fan of industrial and things of that sort. Nuisance is a refreshing spin on Rock Hip Hop. Personally, I could care less whether it is Christian or not. I like the thought provoking lyrics Reuben presents.
