Since Snatch, Murphy has been based in Los Angeles. He has produced the scores for several prominent and diverse successes, including 28 Days Later, Miami Vice, Sunshine, 28 Weeks later and The Last House on the Left.
Awards for his film music include the Silver Award (1st Prize) at Cannes, British D & AD Award, and John has been nominated for an Ivor Novello, an RTS Award, and the Brit Award for Best Soundtrack.
John Murphy recently composed the score for Armored, to be released later this year.

From being a member of groups such as The Associates and SPK, working extensively with artists like Current 93, Death in June and Boyd Rice , and having many solo projects, his work has covered a wide range. For a while in the late 1990s/early 2000s, he went by the name of Jonh Murphy (to avoid confusion with another artist). On Chaos he is aided by Roger Smith, and last but not least David Tibet of C93.
