The Catch Blues Band's sound has been described as the blues with a splash of rum , where B.B. King meets Bob Marley, with a Clapton-like vocal. This mixture of genres has earned The Catch Blues Band a dedicated following in the Upper Ohio Valley since the veteran musicians formed the group in 2006.
JP started playing guitar at the age of 8 in a small town in Long Island New York. By age 10 it was clear that something special was happening here. This "Something Special" was recognized by legendary bluesman Sam "Bluzman" Taylor. Sam took JP under his wing and began to school him on the blues, or what Sam use to call "SAMerizing" him.
The BEAT DADDYS Larry Grisham is a survivor, plain and simple. Both personally and professionally, he has overcome obstacles most people will never face. Time and again he not only met these challenges, but rose to them and came out the other side stronger for the experience. But isn't that what the Blues is all about?
Lonnie Shields is truly the next generation of the blues. He cut his blues teeth performing with the Jelly Roll Kings. His recording career has led him through a number of studios from Memphis and Clarksdale to tours all over the world.
