• Show do Paul McCartney - São Paulo, novembro 2010

    30 Dec 2010, 18:58 by Dimitreze

O dia do show tava lindo, cheguei cedo e fiquei na fila.
Ledo engano pois quando ele começou a tocar Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five eu chorei que me tremi todo!
  • Yoko Ono’s pièce de résistance at the Orpheum Theatre

    5 Oct 2010, 08:53 by Rrraptor

Fri 1 Oct – We Are Plastic Ono Band

Yoko Ono and the Plastic Ono Band performed at the Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles on the first October evening. Ono, Sean Lennon, and the ‘Plastic’ band performed and hosted acts by numerous guest stars which appeared for a multitude of songs, a-la a hip-hop show with constant “surprise!” guest rappers. Iggy Pop, RZA, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Perry Farrell, Carrie Fisher, The Tune-Yards, Harper Simon, Vincent Gallo, and Haruomi Hosono were the accorded invitees of the show. The concert was broken up into two parts: the Plastic Ono Band in the first act and all of the guest stars after the intermission. In part one, Yoko performed her songs of new and old, Sean Lennon contributed on the piano, bass, and guitar, and the band played melodies ranging from punk-rock to classical. In the second act, each of the guest stars went up to perform an Ono song that the artist and the band agreed upon in varied and distinctive ways. …

  • Nick Cave - Rage guest programmer way back in 1994

    4 Apr 2008, 03:37 by BlackCoffeeDuck

There is a TV show in Australia called Rage and artists and bands come on and pick there fav songs or video clips. So back in 1994 Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds toured for Let Love In and Nick Cave was asked to pick his fav video chips, it was air on Christmas Eve.

Talking about some of the video Nick just say the same thing over and over which was "This is __________ and are one of the greatest song or artist and I urge you to go out and buy it" but one funny thing did happened at the almost end when talking about Bob Dylan which he was saying he can't so he's going to talk about his son Jesse who did the new video chip at the time for the new single but Nick Cave forget the name of his own song, he was reminded by someone you could not see on screen, the song was Red Right Hand.

Anyway here are all the songs he played that night, maybe I should look up all the videos on youtube maybe you can if you read this.

  • Nobody Sings Protest Songs Anymore

    28 Mar 2008, 20:01 by tadmaster

I hear this idea a lot. I hear it from people I know who sneer in general at peace protesters; from people who disagree with war, but don't want to appear "weak"; and from people who don't think, but feel that looking cynical is edgy and makes them seem smart. Sadly, I even hear it from people who actively protest; even they seem to feel that the outrage of the public is lacking in the face of the outrageous events of our day.

It's an insidious meme. The idea that our generation doesn't care enough to protest has crept across the media - the accusation ranges from Bill O'Reilly's assertions that "only stoned slackers" are watching The Daily Show, to stories on CNN about how many protest songs there used to be, and a widely repeated story by Jimmy Chang that accuses contemporary artists of burying their protests for the sake of sales.

But I say those characterizations are wrong. Dead wrong. As I said in my own blog, the Revolution is already in progress. …
