Mick Jagger called John, and told him he was wasting his time during his ‘house husband’ era. And that he was just ‘watching the wheels go round’ when he should have been out there making music like Mick was.also john heard two songs that sparked him to go back in the studio,”hungry heart” by springsteen.
the other was “rock lobster” by the b52’s. john lennon said that after he heard that, “maybe they’ll accept yoko now” john also said “i think now i can go out and dine in restaurants again without being hassled.”

sadly he got killed by mark david chapman, who was also steven king’s biggest fan. which inspired the book “misery”

This is not accurate. John wrote Watching The Wheels from when he would sit in his son’s nursery on Central Park at the Dakota. Watching The Wheels refers to the way the cars’ headlights threw “shadows on the wall” as cars rounded to turn beside the building from the road.

Love this song! Even though he is not here with us; he's still very cute man!

This song always reminds me of the night I was watching Monday Night Football and Howard Cosell announced John Lennon was dead. What a tragic day.
