The saddest thing about this song is that no one can actually understand what feels it holds except for the author. There is so much more in here than any of us could even imagine.

I know there are parts on this track sampled from a song from "Smile from the streets you hold", the one released in his heroin-taking period... It was basically an album to pay for his drugs. It gave the song an extra dept of sadness that cannot be approached by other artists who didn't have a heavy load of suffering like John Frusciante. I believe the great art is made through suffering. Just look at all the greats. Just look at Van Gogh, by far the greatest painter who ever lived, Prone to intense depression, epileptic seizures — probably as a result of immense consumption of absinthe — and manic bursts of creativity and energy, he famously cut off a portion of his own ear with a razor. Look at Beethoven, Mozart, Kurt Cobain (I'll put him in this list goddammit), Hemingway, George Orwell. All the greats have suffered. Suffering is the fuel for the greatest art. If read this whole bit, I thank you for suffering through it and I hope it helps you with your art.
