You can go to scrapetorrent.com and get the whole discography. But for the ones that are available in stores -I suggest you buy.

JF is amazing. Of course if you are a fan you have to love Curtains and Shadows Collide with People, but me as a huge fan love his early work, like Smiles and Niandra.

Wow - All signs point to you being an asshole. Any judging from your top artists - System of a Down, The Hives, The Offspring, it seems your an authority to comment on what is and isn't good music.

how come this junkie got so popular? he isn't even a good guitarist, neither is his music.

Are there soundboard/fm-recordings recordings of John Frusciante shows? I have two bootlegs, but they're both in quite bad quality.

Anyone else in love with the introduction/explanation of 'Someones' on the live @ Angel Orenzans, NY recording?

  • Jimerus

You're right CaptainRad. It happened with alot of Pepper fans when the SA singles were played excessively on the radio. If I offended you in any way, apologies. In other news; the TROWFTD demos are immense. And also, how many of you grace the U-G forums, in particular...the John Frusciante & RHCP thread?

The only reason I would willingly manipulate the charts is to help push Niandra up further into the realm of newbie John fans purely because I feel it's an essential part of John's career and therefore is essential to every fan of John. However, I do agree with you on the over-playing of it. That I would not do. I just wish to see some Niandra tracks higher up. :(

    August 2007
  • kgullholmen

Why would anyone want to manipulate the charts by over-playing Niandra... or Smile...? That's horribly stupid, isn't it? Dunno, I love Niandra ... but I wouldn't play the fuck out of it just for the bloody chart's sake ... who cares about them anyway?

I think many are intimidated by Niandra and Smiles when first listened to, especially when a newcomer is involved. Even today, Smiles brings a tear to my eye. Some of us have tried Niandra marathons to push the songs up the charts, wanna do it again? :D

  • Boshwadam

im gonna play Niandra at the record store i work at once we get another copy of it in. the customers' reactions should be interesting to say the least.

Well, rayray, BtW is my favorite RHCP album too. I always thought it so melodic and pretty sounding, although it is really apart from the old, funky RHCP. But that's the only reason so many people seem to dislike it, which isn't fair. Sure, one can like the old stuff more, but why bash the new stuff for sounding different? People change.

  • greatrayray

and kill me for saying this, but BTW is my favorite RHCP album... I love the polished feel of it... not to say don't like there other stuff too

Shadows is the most radio friendly of John's AMAZING work... a good intro to his music

    August 2007
  • Boshwadam

yeah i dunno...because its a 'comfortable', 'nice' record. and people like to feel comfortable and nice. seriously though, the top tracks list is full of Shadows songs...are his so-called fans not listening to the real gems such as As Can Be, Ants (my favorite), Poppy Man, your pussy's glued to a building on fire, etc etc ?

I like almost everything Frusciante's done solo, but I really don't think Shadows Collide is better than say, Inside of Emptiness or The Will to Death. Kinda curious as to why Shadows is so far ahead of the other albums as a whole.

Wtf. daniflow. I don't like SA. And I do like the older music. And yes. I hate the Peppers as they currently are. I respect Flea as a bassist, but currently, they aren't all that good. And BTW is not that bad. Some songs on it are good, but it's still bad compared to previous albums.

---don't like by the way, don't like stadium arcadium??!!! like flea said, then u don't like the chilies at all!!...

The Days have Turned away from me, the lights no longer shine on my head, and people turn away from me, No more do they look to me with respect Well I know now the first time, that was fun, now from live ive resigned. When I feel ive got problems how wrong I am, I'm waiting life as another man. Don't Crowd me. (Drums kick in...amazingness...)

    August 2007
  • Erodar

Yes, the influences after californication were shit. Flea should've quit the Peppers, like he was planning to. Because Stadium Arcadium is complete and utter crap.

  • Erodar

John Frusciante made them GOOD? Sorry, but his influences after Californication were shit. True though, respect for BSSM and Mothers' Milk. I don't like his solo work though... =| I think he's a bit overrated, there are better guitarists.

John Frusciante is fucking genius... probably one of the wisest, most talented musicians alive and I hope he comes up with more solo stuff because i like his own style better than the RHCP style, even though RHCP themselves are pretty amazing <3

    July 2007
  • Zarathustra87

Same opinion as AnaYorke, I actually don't like RHCP much, but his Solo works I love!

    July 2007
  • mr_joey132

What isn't wrong with - 00 Ghost 27 =P @squeezetosoul: I think AnaYorke means that RHCP is waisting John's time, read his shout again ;)

    July 2007
  • squeezetosoul

Wasting his time? He's made them one of the greatest rock bands of their era. Shaddows Collide with People is good, but wtf is up with tracks like - 00 Ghost 27. Kind of strange. The rest is good though.

Shadows Collide With People is my favourite album by a solo artist. just wanted to say that. John Frusciante is a solo artist who also plays in the RHCP when needed.
