In 2004, Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist, and respected solo artist, John Frusciante teamed up with his friend Josh Klinghoffer to create A Sphere In The Heart Of Silence - the fifth album of John’s series of six in six months.

The album is made up of 7 tracks, and is a mainly electronic and experimental affair, with heavy use of synths and keyboards.

Josh has collaborated with John on many of his solo albums, playing drums and synths on most occasions. He and John also played alongside Fugazi’s Joe Lally on the album Automatic Writing, John’s second album in the series, with the trio naming themselves Ataxia.

In 2009 he joined the Red Hot Chili Peppers, after John Frusciante announced he left the band.
