Chorley, Lancashire, England (1979 – present)

“John Foxx” is the stage name of English musician Dennis Leigh; born on the 26th of September 1947 in Chorley, Lancashire, England.

He was the original lead singer of the band “Ultravox!” (previously known as “Tiger Lily” and latterly as “Ultravox”), before embarking on a solo career in 1979.

Primarily associated with synthesizer music, he has also pursued a successful parallel career in graphic design.

I remember "The Quiet Man" story (I think it was called) from a fanzine from th elate 70's. I still remember JF saying about the evening twilight walks where you could snapshot people's lives through the curtains of lit rooms. That changed my perspective on how I saw other people and their life-threads.
