John Elefante (born March 18, 1958 in Levittown, New York) is a Grammy Award-winning American rock and roll vocalist, who got his start in the music business with the rock band Kansas. Elefante was the replacement for the original Kansas vocalist, Steve Walsh, who left Kansas in 1981. He appeared on two Kansas albums, Vinyl Confessions (1981) and Drastic Measures (1983), and sang the vocals on the hit singles "Play the Game Tonight" and "Fight Fire With Fire."

  • Wondrous new album. One of my favorites of this year.
  • When John left Kansas and became a producer of Christian music he made a HUGE impact. Look at the liner notes of many of the Christian rock artists from the late 80s to the 90s and you will see his name. Compare the Kansas albums that he is on with the Petra albums of the 80s through 90s that he produced you can see how big his influence was in the Petra sound.
  • Love this guy. Such a great singer, brilliant songwriter, overall great artist!
