this is a song where you go out and lay down in some field in a prairie up in the mountains and you just listen to it on repeat. yes.

Not my favorite but I have to listen 'cause he's so dang dead now and I'm never gonna get anything else from him. A few of his songs are so unbelievably stellar that I can't hardly listen to anything he does with tearing up at the loss.

A truly beautiful human being. My lose, when younger, for not appreciating what his inspiring songs had to offer!

This song takes me to a time when life was simple, when you could sit around the fire and dream. God I miss him so much! I saw him at Red Rocks Amphitheater in CO. Close as I ever got to my wish of listening to him in the mountains sitting around a campfire. I thank God for sharing him with us and allowing us to listen to his music long after he's gone..

In 1976 I moved from Kentucky to Colorado and John's songs became a sort of theme song for that part of my life. " my friends and my old lady sit and pass the pipe around". Yes, that happened. "It turns me on to think of growing old." And that's happening too. Thanks, John.

Once again Almighty God takes a truly music prodigy long before his time is to pass on so he can play for our Lord.

Awww, man, the video with the Muppets is just too sweet. ;-) I just love this song. As others have already said, simple but very profound and true--and, of course, beautiful.
