A classic after all these years. Glad to see he's still with us after his recent performance on Have I Got News For You.

the boys are on the wagon, the girls are on the shelf . Their common problem is that they're not someone else, the dirt blows out - the dust blows in,- You can't keep it neat, It's a fully furnished dustbin, Sixteen Beasley Street

This encapsulates Thatcher's Britain perfectly -- we need a JCC to define the 21st century...

He sure knows how to paint a picture. I was quite late in discovering Johnny Clarke. The first time I heard him was on the start of a Joy division Video on you tube where he doing. The Bloody train is bloody late, you bloody wait....... I had to find out more. And this track was the one that stuck out most. Oh yeah not forgetting his appearance on a TV add that I remembered seeing after another youtube vid from the 80's. It's a a Sugar Puffs advert. God sake it's so cheesy :-)

Generally a witty writer, this was something different from Clarke. It reflected the the times in Britain and is as good as anything he did..
