The German lyrical tenor, Joachim Duske, studied ‘private musical education’ with main subject ‘song’ with Lore Schäfer at the College of Music Heidelberg/Mannheim. He continued his studies at the College of Music Cologne, Institute Wuppertal, with Professor Reinhard Becker. In 1988 he took his artistic A-level certificate with first class honours. His education ended with the concert examination in 1990.

Joachim Duske has made a name for himself for many years in Lied Singing and Concert Singing. He won recognition by performing the oratorios and Passions of Heinrich Schütz, J.S. Bach, Georg Frideric Handel, Haydn, Mendelssohn, Distler and many others as a soloist. Together with well-known choirs and ensembles he made concert journeys through Europe. For example, he sang in the St. John’s Passion (BWV 245) of J.S. Bach in the Baltic States and in Moscow; further on with G.F. Handel’s Messiah in Vancouver, Canada.

Together with the pianist Christoph Hinz, Joachim Duske produced in 1998 his first “solo - CD” with ‘Songs of the Romanticism’, he also sang the tenor part in the CD production of the Christmas oratorio (BWV 248) of J. S. Bach together with the Madrigalchor Recklinghausen and the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen.
He also is a member of Das Solistenensemble which produced several Chorale CDs together with Gerhard Schnitter.

Numerous radio-, television- and CD recordings, performances of ‘Liederabende’ and private concerts with chamber music ensembles complete his artistic life.
