It could have been but never was
At least the way you thought it'd be when you grew up
And there's so much of you I love but loving you alone isn't enough

Whereas the ''heart-wrenching titans'' like GBSH/23/Dizzy/Mixtape are what we've been conditioned to expect (and to me theyre some of their best work), this lo-fi ending certainly delivers similar emotions, even without the swathes of ambient/post-rock guitar. It makes for a great closer, and in a way it almost feels like their career's swansong.. Fingers crossed in 3 years time they do come back with another release.

Lovely lo-fi album ender. Almost GBV esque!

Very interesting that they decided to close with a more stripped back, lo-fi, understated track this time around. I think it's a nice change of pace and I do like the song. But if there's another record in three years as we've been conditioned to expect, I hope they end it with another beautiful, heart-wrenching titan of a song, in the 23/Dizzy/Mixtape vein. I suppose it's far too early to discuss that though. All in all, good song!

That part where the distant sound comes in around 2:20. Chills, man.
