I must be the only person who finds this album vastly overrated. I find it fairly boring and painfully slow in places. Lucky Denver Mint is brilliant though and Blister is a gem, Tom Linton should never have completely given up lead vocal duties after this.

This album is such a grower. Wasn't so keen on it on first listen but now I love it! Seeing them play the album in its entirety in London last year definitely helped it grow on me!

The production is perfect. That one-two punch of 'fireworks' and then 'heaven' has got to be my all time favourite moment in an album.

Years later I still listen to this album all the way through, loving every second of it.

This is a great album to work to. Brilliant album but not as good as Futures!

Sorry but I hate the production, I can barely hear Jim's voice halfway through. Incredibly emotional lyrics and vocals don't mean much if you can't hear them. This needs to be remastered. Still, it's a great album, and tied second for my favourite JEW album.

i fucking love this album. i absolutely love it. i've loved it for many years and i'm sure i will still love it in old age. if i had to choose between losing a leg and never listening to clarity again i would 100% lose the leg. best album of all time.

I completely agree. I wish their later albums were as raw sounding as this, to be honest.

It is their best because of the so called poor production. :P

Poor production? hmm. I happen to love the way it was produced. It has a very raw, yet clean, feel to it. I think that lends to some of it's emotion. Of course the incredibly inspiring lyrics and musicianship give the most.

I finally understand why everybody loves this so much. If the production wasn't so poor, it would be their best.
