Recorded live in 1969 at Electric Ladyland Studios in Los Angeles, this track featured Jimi Hendrix (of course), Mitch Mitchell on drums, Jack Casady on bass and Steve Winwood on Hammond organ. Sounds from a small crowd of friends can be heard in the background during the more quiet parts of the song.

I perfer Voodoo Chile over the Slight Return - just a personal preference - but I do listen to and enjoy both. Voodoo Chile is slower, more of a great piece of pscyhedelic soulful blues in my opinion.

This is easily better than slight return yet it has the least plays of the two. It's definitely worth listening to for 15 mins.
