About this album
The Japanese edition contains a bonus disc featuring the two tracks that constitute the Sun Down / Sun Rise EP.
This album features much more melody and less drone than the self-titled album.
In support of the album, the band made their United States live debut, in March 2007, as an opening act for Isis, although work permit problems caused them to miss the first three weeks of the tour.

I think part of the "problem" is an album's worth of slower Jesu can be too much. This works better taken in pieces (even though the album does flow well), I think.

WTF I just knew about Jesu listening this album and I really have to say it's one of the best things I've ever heard in my life... don't really understand how someone couldn't like such a piece of glorious musical creation like this album

There's something vaguely unsatisfying about this album. It's good, but I guess it's just a bit too slow and boring.

I think it's one of the weakest outputs from Jesu but since their standards are so high, this is still a good album. I just wish the guitars were higher in the mix and heavier. The flaws on this album were fixed on the Lifeline EP and I enjoy that more than I do Conqueror.
