Jesse and The Rippers

Jesse and the Rippers is a rock band from San Francisco featuring “Uncle” Jesse Katsopolis as their lead singer/guitarist. They found mild fame in America with their cover of Beach Boys classic “Forever,” but had much better success overseas, where “Forever” skyrocketed to #1 in Japan.

Unfortunately, as time went Jesse Katsopolis became so occupied with his family that eventually he was forced out of the band by drummer Rodger Lodge. However, the Rippers found a replacement in Barry Williams, better known as TV’s Greg Brady. The Rippers enjoyed great success with Barry, had a hit single “April Girls,” and toured with The Rolling Stones.

Jesse later went on to form Hot Daddy and the Monkey Puppets, but never reached anywhere near the success and acclaim as he did when he was with the Rippers.
