One of my fave all-time soundtracks. This grew to become my 2nd fave ST movie. Such a great story. This scene was long because no one had ever seen the Enterprise on the big screen before, and we all savored the moment! Such detail! So grand!

I remember watching the movie when this theme came on. What great musical timing by Goldsmith. Truly made the scene.

The music is good, but this scene is way to long in the movie.

Mr. Goldsmith and Mr. John Williams both studied composition under the same instructor and you can definetly hear many similarities in the the presentation of their music, dramatic, operatic in a beautiful and very powerful way. He will be missed by so many people, his family, his friends, his fans, and the entire music world. He will live forever through his magnificent music.
