  • I adore the live versions where he tells the story of the song.
  • DON'T LET ANYONE STAND IN YOUR WAY. [2] chills every time
  • good
  • words cannot describe how much i love this man and his music <3
  • This is such a lovely song. I love how it starts out as a funny anecdote then halfway through it changes into this heartfelt encouragement to his friend. "Don't let anyone stand in your way" is a perfect message.
  • This song now reminds me of the current news story that a Hong Kong billionaire will pay a man $65m to marry his lesbian daughter - imagine the meeting of the poor guy and the father!
  • In Swedish, his surname would sound like "Lake-moan" to an English speaker. In English, it's pronounced "Leck-min". "Jens", on the other hand, is pronounced the same way in Swedish and English.
  • and how would he pronounce his name 100% in Swedish...?
  • The most beautiful song that ever songed.
  • he pronounces Jens Lekman really weird; half english, half swedish.
  • DON'T LET ANYONE STAND IN YOUR WAY.
  • Listening to this for the first time right this second. Wow wow wow.
  • don'tletanyonestandinyourway.
  • the full & live version is just so beautiful... what a skillful songwriter
  • Really funny song.. love it
  • My mom even likes this song. That's just how wide-ranging Jens' appeal is.
  • who's better jens or ben folds? they should go head to head [2] Yes, preferably without shirts on.
  • That voice. mhm.
  • Sublime
  • DON'T LET ANYONE STAND IN YOUR WAY
  • "yours truly, jens lekman" -- best third person reference by a music artist (other than a rapper) ever. loved.
  • Funny song! Masterfully done.
  • So hilarious.
  • best. song. ever.
  • this is a greaat song, the lyrics are hilarious.
  • who's better jens or ben folds? they should go head to head. I guess we should also throw david ford in the mix there
  • oh , jens...
  • Oh God, Jesus Christ - I love Jens. He's a master at music and lyrics. Dude has it.
  • perfect tv sitcom scenario. :D
  • i love this one!
  • best song ever? i think so.
  • he's coming to my school! sooooooo dope. he has mad stage presence... saw him at troubadour a couple yrs ago
  • I just love this song! I had been the "girlfriend" of one gay-friend...and this is totally truth!
  • Super though this is, if he'd lost the last minute after "Yours truly, Jens Lekman", it would be the perfect pop song. It's still excellent though.
  • Hilarious, charming, poignant, sweet, honest, beautiful, and catchy as hell... yes, this one is an all time favorite. And Cheesetrolly, yes... I love the "th" to "dh" impediment, it makes it all the more charming!
  • completely fabulous!
  • It's so strange how he sings/speaks with a perfect American accent but still has trouble with his 'th' sounds. Not that I care, I love this song.
  • one of the best songs you will ever hear...
  • Reminds me a little of Richard Hawley...
  • dude, i AM nina. for serious.
  • Excellent lyrics and wit. Gonna have to look into more of his stuff methinks!
  • The underused musical wit. Brilliant.
  • This song is just pure brilliance =D Love love love it!!
  • first time I'm hearing . wow!
  • Morrissey in Ouija Board mentions his own name Steven.
  • This song's very literal in its descriptions, much like Morrissey or Steve Merritt, except I've never heard them use their own name in a song. I love it.
  • He really has a way with words, doesn't he? On first listen, you find yourself swaying to the music, then the words and story register in your head (and you just have to smile).
  • I dig this: He says he just wants to say hi I send back out of office, auto-replies lol
  • ew
  • One of my favourite songs of the decade
