• 2008

    8 Jan 2009, 19:42 by Nathi_Rhapsody

    1. Ayreon (842 plays)

  • Soundtrack of my life: soundtrack shuffle version

    15 Nov 2006, 05:12 by bobuchan

Open your Music, and hit Shuffle, and write the song title and artist, next to each question.

In this case, I've narrowed it once more to only the soundtrack genre since I've done this in past experience. I have a lot of soundtracks so I might as well put them to use.

    Soundtrack to your life:

Opening Credits: Howard Shore - At the Sign of the Prancing Pony - LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring (it's an action film that comes in pints!)

Waking Up Scene: Danny Elfman - Charlie Declines - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (this story starts sad)

Car Driving Scene: Michael Giacchino - Saving Metroville - The Incredibles (i think you mean snowboarding scene)

High School Flashback Scene: Shivaree - Goodnight Moon - Kill Bill Vol. 2 (all I'm getting from that is flashbacks to elementary school. good night brush, good night mush.)

Nostalgic Scene: Harry Belafonte - Day-O - Beetlejuice (daylight come and me wanna go home)

Ok, actually I saw at at jibrill's page and I liked the idea (don't know if it's hers anyway), but it goes like this :

"Go to the page of your number one artist, and follow the link of it's number one similar artist, then repeating that for this artist and so on, noting down each artist as you go. Do this until you've got to 50 artists (not including your number one). If you get any repeats, just go to the second similar artist or the nearest one that you haven't already had."

  • How We Get Into Things

    17 Jan 2006, 04:04 by threerulevee

I'm interested in how people get into music, film, TV, theatre, books, etc. Often (especially if it's obscure) there is a story behind it, or a memory, or a string of other things.

For example, lately I've been listening to Rip Rig & Panic a lot (one of Neneh Cherry's pre-solo groups). I first heard them in an episode of "The Young Ones"; it was one of the two performances of the show that I really dug (the other being Amazulu).
...I got into "The Young Ones" as a natural progression in my path towards British comedy dorkdom- I'd been hearing about the show for a long-ass time until finally my good friend littlemidget lent me (for what turned into a lot of years) the box-set.
...I got into British comedy first through "Absolutely Fabulous" (Jennifer Saunders). When I got cable in 1998, I watched Comedy Central constantly, that was when the channel aired three episodes of "AbFab" every Saturday (or was it Sunday?) from 4-6pm.
...How I got into comedy... that I'll have to think about.

"That's the gayest song ever, and you have a serious problem."

Help! I can't stop! I've had "Holding Out For A Hero" by Jennifer Saunders (bonus track from "Shrek 2" soundtrack) playing on a loop for over an hour now with no end in sight.

Lord, this woman makes my innards quiver.
