On another continent, some 9000 miles from the United States, is a corner of the earth where there is no Internet, no electricity, no telephone. From wherever you stand, you see red dirt and sky, well-adapted wildlife, rock piles next to dirt roads that seem to go on and on forever. Desolate but not empty, the Australian outback offers people the chance to revel in the open space and solitary oneness this striking terrain provides. Had you traveled that same path years ago, you may have passed Jennifer Knapp along the way, a Grammy nominated, Dove Award winning artist, who was happy to let go of all the success she had to live a very different kind of life traveling to the most remote corners of Australia, looking to reclaim a part of herself she felt she lost in all the excitement of her accomplishments.
And then one day she decided to come back.
Before you start with any Eddie and the Cruisers comparisons, please note that Jennifer didn’t fake her own demise. She just decided to take a break, though at the time, she wasn’t sure she’d ever return. Considering Jennifer has over sold over 1 million records, spent years successfully playing to sold out audiences and had a considerable fan base, the choice wasn’t an easy one but definitely necessary.

BFARadio I liked her old music, some of it was really inspirational. The last album she released on Gotee Records was a bit vague to me. It's the previous albums that I thought were really good.

Ales_KoZoBoLiX bit of a shame that this shout box has very little to do with this girl's music.. i'd never heard of her til today, just stumbled across this 'discussion'.. so i'll add my thoughts to the mix and in doing so apologise for not actually commenting on her music.. with regards to her sexuality - wherever we stand on the issue - perhaps we need to go read some Matthew 7:5 and in the mean time perhaps consider 'love' becoming our default reaction..

IntusLegere And concerning her music, well, it sounds good. Actually, I only listened to her now that she gained some spotlight due to her coming-out, but I definitely like her voice.

Even though the Christianity, historically, has condemned homossexuality — not the homossexuals, however — as a behavior. Every religion has a more or less defined amount of principles and norms, and, evidently, homossexuality is incompatible with Christianity. I'm not saying Jesus hates you, I firmly believes he does loves you, indeed; that doesn't make everything you do automatically justified. Lastly, it isn't love which will justify you; it's your will to accept and follow, not your desires, but Christ's way.

JericoDaniel Sorry to say that the defilement that Bible talks about when you engage in sexual intercourse with a person of your own sex is not understood by more "so called" christians. The spiritual emptiness that you will feel will only grow worse in time. Eventually hell is the only place you'll be able to express your so called Love for your own sex. sorry but God said it so I believe that's what Faith is all about..

faithness Ive love her music for a long time. Im so proud of her for coming out while still being a christian artist. My wife and I came out to the christian community and it was brutal and hard all the backlash we got from them. But we stood our ground and stood out Faith and now things are working out for the better. I wish her and her partner the best of luck. keep up the great music and work. Her new album is AMAZING!!! Totally out of the water great. <3
