As a confirmed "Air Head" (double pun ... = "Dead Head") , maybe just as with you , I've followed JA since Day # 1 . It seems to my ears that some "bands" are great live bands , and some are great studio bands . After 38 + years as an "Air Head" ... I don't know ... Maybe it's gotten to the point that , for me , JA (and early JS) simply was incapable of producing any bad music / versions . Digressing ... Man , I've heard them Live "a few" times , and I've worn-out more than a few JA /JS vinyls , so I guess that the "good/ bad" thing is relative . I mean , it's like ice-cream ; some people like vanilla and some like peach . I respect your opinion , but my favorite flavor is soft indigo . (Typical Air Head shout)

Loved the original version, but it's not what's playing for me here. This live version is not good at all.

Holiday Inn lounge out near the Airport version still. Throw some money in the tip jar optional.

I'd say some recreational drugs and or alcohol was taken before or during the live version of this song. The studio version is much better

They ALWAYS dropped L and guzzled booze. Deal with the live version. It's nice and fresh. This song is better than anything I'd hear on any radio station here in Los Angeles. The land that forgot about new music.

This is a shabby effort..It's not Marty's vocals that bothers me so much..It's Paul Kantner's using the "Row row, row your boat..." method (singing same verse as Marty,a few seconds later) on the second lead all during the song!

Marty Balin sounds like The Pub Singer on this cut! :-( The original album track is one of the greatest love songs ever - no question.
