Volunteers is a 1969 album by American psychedelic rock band, Jefferson Airplane. It was controversial at the time because of anti-war messages of certain songs. The original title of the album was supposed to be Volunteers of Amerikkka, but pressure from RCA led to this name being dropped.

I don't think the production is bad at all. And the songs and performances are terrific. The band did a great job of incorporating a "roots rock" influence into their sound here and I think it works brilliantly.

Their best and one of the best albums of all time. Probably the better managed album of the whole 60's.

Good songs but bad production. These songs could sound a lot better, instead I only hear completely failed vocal harmonies and blury instruments

OMG, '69., the sound of this album sounds so much more modern than many albums from that era...
