Biography
Jeff “Oly” Olson is the original percussion artist from the internationally acclaimed rock band Trouble, founder of Retro Grave, and proprietor of Upland Recording. The works featured on this page is from Olson’s side projects specifically released for Upland Recording. They feature complied works from Olson’s experience in the theatre, as well as educational Cd’s.
== Trouble ==
Following the release of Trouble’s debut “Psalm 9”, in 1984, and the “The Skull”, following in 1985, soon led to the departure of Olson to pursue teaching music while simultaneously writing musical scores and, later, receiving a BM degree in film scoring (cum laude) from Berklee College of Music. During that departure, Olson still participated in all of Trouble’s future albums with the exception of “Manic Frustration” recorded in 1992. Olson later rejoined Trouble for the albums, “Plastic Green Head”, “Simple Mind Condition”, “Unplugged”, and “Live in LA”.
In July 2008, Olson announced his resignation from the band. His last show with Trouble was at the club “The End” in Nashville, Tennessee on July 19, 2008.
