After over twelve years of wearing the grooves out of several copies of Grace as well as giving each of the ten tracks a couple hundred iTunes plays each, I can say without hesitation that the album version of Eternal Life is my favorite track on Grace, not to mention my favorite Buckley song and one of my Top 3 songs of all time. It's not really the fact that it's one of his 'rockiest', it's just simply perfect. Every little detail about it. Some songs just capture your imagination and absolutely fucking run with it to the end of the world and beyond. As utterly cliche as it sounds this song really does 'bleed passion'. Drips and gushes all over the white carpet and white walls with it. Fuckin' hard-hitting, groovy, and pristine.
