Honestly this album might be Jay-Z's best lyrically, besides like 2 tracks its basically gold, his flow is too dope on tracks like Imaginary Player . Streets is Watching, Friend or Foe 98, Rap Game/Crack Game, Where I'm From, and You Must Love Me, this might be my have Jay album

i got Vol. 1 when I was 12, 13. Jay seemed like a breath of fresh air at the time, and looking back, it's not that great of an album. It's underrated and forgotten, but it got me into Reasonable Doubt then Jay at large. A great introduction to a great performer.
